Every time I think of this jam, I hear “Razzle Dazzle” from the musical Chicago. And it’s no wonder; this jam embodies that kind of fun, mellifluous experience where the world is your own, and you just have to throw your own sparkle and glitz into the mix. To wit, berries and soft triple creams are a match made in heaven to me; something about the zingy sweetness of the fruit just blends so nicely with the full and rich milk. The addition of basil to the Josephine raspberries brings the sweetness down to earth, flavor-forward and delightfully refreshing. Pair this with Andante Dairy’s Picolo, a triple cream made with rich Jersey cow milk and crème fraîche. The crumbly, nutty, and tangy cheese will sing “how can they see with sequins in their eyes” when it meets the jam.
